While backoffice software does many things well, fact is, it does two things in particular that contribute considerably to your bottom line; increased gross profit margins and higher product turns, (higher movements).

Backoffice applications increase margins primarily by making certain that customers are charged the correct amount for every product sold in your store(s) every time by maintaining the correct retail sell price based on current item costs and by taking pricing decisions out of the hands of your cashiers.

The average site stocks over 2500 items; keeping track of every cost increase, new products, and other changes to inventory items without some form of automation is difficult at best. With backoffice software, current costs are tracked automatically and the margins, (set by the operator) are applied automatically.

Simply choose the products which require price adjustments, choose a price adjustment method, (set to a specific price, adjust up or down by price or percentage), and choose a date range. At the end of the buy down or post off, your pricing will either return to the original price, or to another price at your discretion.

By tracking deliveries, sales of individual inventory items, and any adjustments made by the operator, (breakage, spoilage, store use, etc.), backoffice software will calculate exactly how aggressively each item turns in your store. Every linear inch of shelf space should be performing in your store; with backoffice you can track the performance of every item and it's product category.
